The SEMIKRON Foundation (hereinafter "we") operates this internet presence. The purpose of our websites is to provide you with information about both foundations and their activities.
This legal notice governs your use of our websites. In individual cases other regulations may apply, for example, when using websites that are only accessible to registered users. In these cases additional information can be found on the relevant pages.
 
1. Use of our websites
You are authorised to view, save, and download our web content for private or journalistic purposes. Our web content may only be reproduced, distributed and/or published with our prior written consent. With this consent, use of web content shall be free of charge but the SEMIKRON Foundation must be credited in a clearly visible and legible form.
 
Any other use is prohibited. This shall particularly apply to any modification and editing of our web content or parts thereof.
 
We shall keep this legal notice updated at all times. It may, therefore, be necessary to modify this legal notice to comply with changes in legal or other conditions. Use of our websites signifies your agreement to the current legal notice.
 
Any infringement of the stipulations set out in this legal notice imposes an obligation to desist from such acts and eliminate any consequences, i.e. the relevant acts of use shall be ceased and any copies destroyed. We shall reserve the right to assert further claims, particularly further claims for damages.
 
2. Industrial property rights
The content that can be accessed on our websites is protected by copyright. This particularly applies to the websites’ content structure as well as texts, photographs, audio and video files and databases.

3. Liability for own content
Our web content is checked thoroughly. However, we can give no guarantee and nor shall we assume any liability for the accuracy and completeness of the content.
 
Our liability, irrespective of legal grounds, shall be restricted to those damages, resulting from or in connection with the use of our websites, intentionally caused by us or our vicarious agents or as a result of our gross negligence or – in the event of injury to life, limb or health – as a result of our minor negligence. In the case of a minor negligent breach of contractual obligations, the amount of compensation for which we shall be liable shall be limited to the amount of foreseeable damage. Liability according to the German Product Liability Act shall remain unaffected.
The above limitation of liability shall also apply to the operation of the websites and to content downloads. We, therefore, recommend that you take adequate precautions to prevent viruses before downloading files and information.

4. Liability for third-party content
Our websites may contain links to sites operated by third parties (“external websites”). Furthermore, our websites may host discussion fora (“chats”), in which third parties may express their opinions on various topics (“third-party contributions”).

We shall not be made liable for external websites and third-party contributions, and shall particularly not be made liable for breaches of statutory provisions or infringements of third-party rights by such sites or individuals. We shall not adopt the contents of external websites or third-party contributions as our own but rather herewith explicitly dissociate ourselves from this content.
 
Should we identify a breach of statutory provisions or an infringement of third-party rights by external websites or third-party contributions, we will immediately remove the link or chat contribution provided that this is legally and technically possible. We would be happy to receive any relevant information in this regard.
The use of any material which is illegal or in breach of a third-parties’ rights in discussion forum or on our websites shall be prohibited. This particularly applies to libellous, scandalous, offensive or pornographic material.
