How we work
The SEMIKRON Foundation’s aim is to bring together all the SEMIKRON Group’s charitable work and develop it further. The Foundation has two areas of focus. Firstly, it continues with the aid projects initiated by the former long-term SEMIKRON shareholder and CEO Peter Martin, for children and people in need from all over the world. The second area of focus is to provide support and awards for young researchers and research teams in recognition of outstanding innovation in the field of power electronics.
Fast and unbureaucratic
The SEMIKRON Foundation has a lean structure. Our community involvement in the form of aid for children and people in need is carried out in a direct and unbureaucratic manner. With us, therefore, your donations are in good hands.
Local commitment
Over a period 10 years, the former Mali Martin Foundation, through which aid for children and people in need was provided, invested over 1 million euros in aid projects for children and people in need particularly in Brazil.
Benefits to society
Each year, the SEMIKRON Foundation grants the SEMIKRON Innovation Award and the SEMIKRON Young Engineer Award. These prizes are awarded for innovative concepts which serve to benefit society through, for example, an increase in energy efficiency, resource conservation, sustainability, and environmental protection. The award-winners are selected by an independent jury composed of five well-known representatives from the fields of research and industry.
